Shakib (Mohsen Tanabandeh) is a middle-aged homeless day laborer who lost his wife and son in an earthquake years ago and has not been able to move on. Over the past few years, he has had a relationship with a young mute and deaf woman named Ladan. The construction site where he works today turns out to be the set for a film about Adolf Hitler's crimes during World War II. Shakib is chosen as a replacement for the previous actor and is given a large house. When Laden learns about this, she wants him to help her solve a problem, and Shakib is forced to hide Ladan on the film set. The building explodes according to the filming schedule, but Shakib, who is unaware of the explosion, must tell the truth to the film crew, leading to efforts by the filmmakers to keep the matter hidden. Seeking revenge, Shakib poisons the food of the film crew.
